Program Overview:
Geervanee offers a series of three Sanskrit learning courses, namely saṃskṛtapraveśinī, saṃskṛta-avagāhinī, and saṃskṛtavivecinī, designed to provide a comprehensive language learning experience and instill confidence in exploring this beautiful language.
Objective:
saṃskṛtapraveśinī serves as an entry-level course tailored for beginners.
Course Curriculum: –
This is the beginners’ level course which offers basic functional sanskrit concepts as given below :-
Lesson – 1
- Introduction to nouns (अकारान्तपुंल्लिङ्गः, आकारान्तस्त्रीलिङ्गः, ईकारान्तस्त्रीलिङ्गः, अकारान्तनपुंसकलिङ्गः)
- Introduction to pronouns (एतद्शब्दः, तद्शब्दः, किम् शब्दः)
Lesson – 2
- Introduction to एकवचनं, द्विवचनं & बहुवचनम् for the learnt nouns & pronouns(अकारान्तः पुंल्लिङ्गः, आकारान्तस्त्रीलिङ्गः, ईकारान्तस्त्रीलिङ्गः, अकारान्तनपुंसकलिङ्गः, एतद्शब्दः, तद्शब्दः, किम् शब्दः)
Lesson – 3
- Introduction to अस् धातु form अस्ति & नास्ति, Using these अस्ति & नास्ति in sentences.
- Making questions using किम् शब्दः & Answering the questions using yes or no; as well as answering with a complete sentence.
Lesson – 4
- Introduction to Dhatu and their एकवचनं द्विवचनं & बहुवचनं forms in प्रथमपुरुषः। (Near about 50+ dhatus )
- Sentence making with the learnt nouns and Dhatus in एकवचनं द्विवचनं & बहुवचनम्।
Lesson – 5
- Introduction to अस्मद्शब्दः, युष्मद्शब्दः & भवत् शब्दः(भवान् & भवती)।
- Sentence making with the learnt nouns and Dhatus in एकवचनं द्विवचनं & बहुवचनम्।
Lesson – 6
- A Story covering the concepts taught previously.

- Introduction to द्वितीयाविभक्तिः of the learnt nouns & pronouns.
- Making sentences using द्वितीयाविभक्तिः forms.
Lesson – 8
- A Story covering the द्वितीयाविभक्तिः forms.
Lesson – 9
- Introduction to भाववाचकः forms of विभज्यप्रयोगाः(पठति – पठनं करोति)
- Introduction to some णिजन्तforms.
